I bought this dehumidifier about a month ago for use in my basement. It took 2 days to drop the humidity down to 45%. It has been holding that level ever since.
After reading some of the earlier reviews I was unsure whether continuous draining would work but I decided to give it a try. I connected a short (14-16") piece of standard garden hose to the spout in the back of the unit and ran it into the condensate pump for my furnace/AC. It works perfectly! The bucket stays empty and all the water goes into the pump. I didn't make any other modifications like removing wheels or tilting the unit. Not sure why it didn't work for others. Perhaps they updated the unit.
Previous reviewers mentioned the relatively short lifespan of these units. I decided to be safe so I registered it online (Thanks for the tip M. Hines!).
